Fortnite has announce a summer event spanning the weekend of Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16. The lineup includes Dillon Francis, Cray, and Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, among other acts. It will be held at the Forum in Los Angeles.
This exciting new event is just the latest in a slew of collaborations between popular consumer companies and music. Like the long time industry mainstay Vans Warped Tour, which revolutionized Vans’ branding, this Fortnite festival is a great opportunity to capitalize on the hype of popular musicians to sustain the Fortnite frenzy even longer. It’s a solid publicity move, and also an opportunity to appeal to younger audiences which might be excluded from more mature events like EDC or Burning Man.
