On October 20, 2017, We Dream Worlds collaborated with Electric Family and Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire to throw a benefit concert in the wake of the destruction in the Caribbean. Net proceeds contributed to OxFam’s Hurricane Irma relief efforts. Hosted by the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and a local favorite venue, Cornerstone Berkeley, the event was a huge success, selling out with hundreds in attendance. OxFam’s work in affected regions such as Haiti and the Dominican Republic supported affected communities’ endeavors to not only rebuild infrastructure, but also strengthen networks of local partners to help the most vulnerable victims reclaim their agency.
